Senior Class 2012: The choice is yours!

Seniors & soon to be seniors, this post is just for you! School is out & within the next month or two, you may get a card in the mail from your school telling you to book your senior session with the photographer the school has hired for your yearbook picture & the rest of your senior pictures. I have been asked a few times recently by seniors if they have to use the yearbook photographer for the rest of their senior pictures. The answer to that is simply NO! You are in now way obligated to use the photographer the school has hired for the rest of your senior pictures. If your school wants everyone's yearbook picture to be the same, then use the studio photographer for your yearbook picture ONLY. Your senior year is a HUGE deal & your senior pictures should be a reflection of you & the things you enjoy. Don't settle for for just ordinary boring studio pictures that specialize in the same old stuffy poses. You deserve better! Just remember the choice is completely yours!

Spring Mini Sessions:

When: April 16, 2011 or April 23, 2011

Where: Herb Parsons Lake

What Time: Sessions will begin at 4PM & end at 6PM

How Much:

$150 will get you a 30 minute outdoor session for up to four people ($10 for each additional person), an 11x14 mounted portrait, two 5x7's,(of one pose) Six images posted to an online gallery & 10% off any additional prints.

$100 will get you a 30 minute outdoor session for up to four people ($10 for each additional person), Five 5x7's and four 4x6's(of one pose), and six images posted to an online gallery.

To book your mini session, you must email me @ DeniseBenson@portraitsbydenise.com
Half of the session fee will be due at the time of booking to reserve your time slot.
In case of rain, mini sessions will be reschedules for the following weekend.

Spring is here & I love this weather we are having! What a great time to get out in the sunshine & get some new pictures of the kids, family, maternity or engagement pictures! I have opened up two dates on my calendar in April to offer a few spring mini sessions!! This is a GREAT deal & will be only offered on these dates.

Newborn & A Soldier

Well July is almost over & it has been a HOT month! This month I had two very special sessions with a newborn & soldier. This sweet little baby boy Rhett belongs to Amy Stone of Mitts Piggys & Paws baby hand & feet impressions. He was such a sweet baby & I know Amy & her family are just thrilled to have him! My other session was very dear & close to my heart because it was with my nephew & his family. He is a sergeant in the Army & has served his country for a very long time. He has served three tours in Iraq & also served in Kuwait & Germany as well.I am very proud of him & honored to know him. He & his family were just passing through Memphis for two days & I took the opportunity to do a session with him & his family. Just my way of saying Thanks for all of the sacrifices he & his family have made just to protect us & our country. Next time you see one of our military men or women, thank them for THEIR sacrifice.

First Maternity Session

About two weeks ago I did my first maternity session with Amy Stone from Mitts Piggys & Paws baby hand & feet & pet paw impressions.
This will be her third child, but her first boy! I think she looks fabulous & made such beautiful maternity pictures. Michael & Ashley's wedding

On June 12Th 2010, I was blessed to be able to be a part of my nephew's wedding. The ceremony took place out at the new Carahills II in Gallaway, TN. It was very simple & both the bride & groom were glowing. My wish for the two of them is as they start the rest of their lives together that they make Christ the center of their marriage & learn to forgive & forget quickly. I love them both & I am glad to be able to share a few of their precious memories from their wedding & Ashley's bridal portrait session.

April Sessions

I have fallen very behind in my blogging recently, so I am going to try & make up for some lost time. We are already almost in the middle of 2010 & it seems as though it is flying by. During this month of April we celebrated the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ on Easter. How wonderful to know that he is ALIVE & he is RISEN & we will be reunited with him again one day!!! The day before Easter I did a family shoot with the Gallagher family & what a fun time we had. The forecast had been predicting rain for that day for a while but let me tell you.... prayer changes things. The Lord blessed us with such a beautiful day for the Gallagher's family portrait.
He is so good to us! About a week ago I did a session with two little beauties named Summer & Savannah. These girls gave me a run for my money literally! I did manage to get some really good shots of them despite their playing hard to get. I am so happy to be able to share with you some of my favorites from these April sessions.

Moms At Home Creations

On March 6Th, I did a shoot in Collierville square with about nine beautiful little girls & a beautiful day! Each little girl was wearing a a different dress provided by Moms At Home Creations. I had the best time with these girls. They were so funny & such camera hams! I have so many favorites from that session that is was really hard to pick which ones I wanted to put on my blog. Since I can't put them all on here, I will leave you with just a few of my favorites.

I did my first senior portrait session last Wednesday August 19Th with Daniel, a senior from Germantown. I took advantage of everything that the Collierville town square had to offer for this shoot. Wasn't sure if the rain was going to hold out or not at first & even had to wait a shower out before going on with the rest of the shoot. The shower didn't last very long & it gave me the opportunity to try & get to know Daniel a little better & talk about what his plans were after high school.

The Lord blessed us with sunshine for the rest of the afternoon & I was able to get some great shots. Here are a few of my favorite shots from that session.

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of hanging out with Josh & Becca & was able to capture some really great moments with my camera. They were both so sweet & answered every question I asked with a yes ma'am or no ma'am. Josh was too funny with his muscles & monkey faces he was making. He wasn't keen on the idea of sticking around with his sister to have his picture made, but I did mange to keep his interest long enough to get some really good shots of him. Becca is a beauty & my camera just loved her. Here are a few of the shots I captured of these two siblings.
